ADOPTING A FRIEND
We’d
love to help you find the pet that best matches your lifestyle, family, and home environment. Submitting an adoption
application starts you on your way to adopting your new lifelong best friend!
If you are interested in adopting a pet from Tavi & Friends,
download our adoption application at: http://www.taviandfriends.org/id23.html Or, if you cannot download the application, email us at adopt@taviandfriends.org to request an adoption application. Please include your full name, city of residence and a phone number to reach you.
Once we receive your adoption application, we will set up a time for a phone interview, application review, home check, and
will check your references. All adopted animals are personally delivered to their new home!
ADOPTION DONATION FEES
We strive to keep adoption fees low, however, costs for caring for a rescued
animal in need exceeds adoption fees in most cases. These donations help to defray veterinary costs. Cats have been vetted, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. Dogs have been vetted, vaccinated,
spayed/neutered. We prefer kittens—and most cats—be adopted with another kitten or cat unless there is already
a cat in the new home.
♥ Adoption fees are $100-350 for each cat or dog ♥
As we are a 100% volunteer not-for-profit organization caring for rescued pets in foster homes, we do not currently
have a location for you to visit in person prior to being approved. You can view our available animals on our website.
Whenever possible we will attempt to arrange a timely meet-and-greet, once your adoption application is approved.
Please be patient with us. We all work full-time
and do this as volunteer work. We respond to all email messages. Occasionally, an email or phone message may get
lost in the shuffle. (Some of our cats think they are computer consultants and sleep on the job... that is, keyboard.
They have been known to delete emails.) If you feel you've been overlooked, please just send us another message.
We typically respond within 24-48 hours to email and phone messages. The cats always come first, so if we have new cats that
require intensive care, our response time may be delayed. It is our goal to have your application approved w/in 4-5 days of
receiving it. Please do us a favor and let your veterinarian know that we will be calling for a reference. That will
help move things along quickly.
